The Monterey Hotel

Its staff and location were superb. The bedrooms were nice.

The property is reasonably clean with a nice design, and the buffet breakfast is savoury. Breakfast with fresh berries, genuinely helpful staff, good value.

Quiet little accommodation with pleasant setting short walk to restaurants and Fisherman's Wharf and cannery row and bars.

Updated, perfect room with central heating, multi-channel television and a radio.

Spotlessly clean place and everyone were ready to help. Substantial breakfast with lots of muffins, fresh fruit, cereals, breads and croissants to satisfy every guest.

And it also had decent view. All facilities were basic too. The restaurant was pleasant and offered hot dishes.

Awesome location and staff to say the least. Original hotel in traditional area. The beach nearby was nice and the view was great. Good value compared to other properties, and reasonably clean.

We appreciated the functional furniture and UNBEATABLE location. The room was absolutely perfect, updated.

It was tasteful hotel and we had a very enjoyable stay. Beautiful unit. Accommodating, kind staff. Prime location, not too far from a state park.

The staff is exceptional, the breakfast perfect, the ocation is brilliant near to other restaurants and restaurants and conference center.

Good value, and the location was stunning for exploring Monterey. The staff were very, very nice, the bed was exceptionally comfortable and the food was good! The beach was wonderful. We liked the local cuisine in the restaurant. The service offered here was great.

Had a very pleasant stay, no complains at all. Staff were ready to help and the hotel was spotlessly clean. I had good basic breakfast with fresh berries. Very central location, relatively near san carlos cathedral. The service was friendly here. I could park the car onsite.

We really enjoyed the loyal staff and pleasant room. Bed was comfortable, esp for those with a bad back.

Location was prime, room was calm, view was decent. Tidy and adorable hotel in Downtown Monterey district. Also, it was close to restaurants and shops. I got free upgrade and loved it.

Good location, helpful staff, plenty of food for the continental breakfast. It was conveniently located. We used free shuttle too...

We really loved this hotel: location and staff were all great. Room was best value.

Booked a king room with a heating system and a coffeemaker. Just a 5-minute stroll to the center. For lunch or dinner go to Montrio Bistro, located a few steps away from the hotel.

The street was noisy and you'll have to deal with it.

We enjoyed the location, which was PERFECT. We do recommend the hotel and staff.

plenty of restaurants to eat close by, like sushi moto that was only 10 minutes' walk away. near a trolley bus stop in monterey. totally a great experience. we loved our time at the hotel, thank you.
